This production was part of the Gillingham Borough Arts Festival.

When kindly old Mrs Gillis, who lives alone in a large house on the outskirts of town, takes in a friendless and seemingly helpless young man who has come looking for work and who reminds her of the son she lost during the war, neither she nor the audience can guess that she is signing her own death warrant. By the time she realises that Howard is a murderous psychopath who is systematically isolating her from the outside world, it is too late. The story unfolds with the terrifying logic of a nightmare and the suspense builds to an unbearable climax. A real chiller.
