1962 (Autumn/Winter) - A note to the council.

In December 1962 Norman Booth sent a letter to Gillingham Borough Council settting out the society’s detailed plans to convert the Oasthouse into a theatre. As the group believed they were going to provide an amenity that Rainham was lacking, they felt the borough might like to assist with a small grant.

A decision would not be reached on this until 1964.
