1948 : Rainham Amateur Theatrical Society

As the group grew in popularity it was decided the name should reflect its members and after much discussion, the Rainham Amateur Theatrical Society was born! The first production under the new banner was “Great day” by Leslie Storm. This was performed in the co-operative hall, which has since been demolished and is now the ground in which the healthy living centre stands on.
